In Texas, you are required to have a finger print and background check done to babysit children in foster care. In addition, to be a respite provider you are also required to go through trainings and a home inspection.
Because of these things it is very difficult for foster families to find child care for the kids in their care; even for something as simple as a date night or doctor’s appointment.
To help remedy this, we offer foster parent nights out every quarter! This is an opportunity for foster parents to drop off their children and go do what they need to do!
Join us for our spring foster parent night out! May 5th from 5:30-8:30 at Heritage church.
