Did anyone else love making little books when they were younger. I certainly did, and my charges, especially YC, love making them. The problem is that the pages often fall out or you have to use a stapler, which can limit the thickness of your book. This simple book binding idea will help solve those problems.

To do your own simple book binding you will need:
- Paper
- Hole punch
- Elastic band
- Scissors
- Craft stick or wooden kebab stick
- Ruler
Start by cutting out the pages for your book, trying to make sure that they are all a matching size.
I used a ruler and scissors to score the pages, that way it makes it easier to turn the pages and open it flat.
Use a hole punch to make two holes in each page to create the book bind.
Pile up all your pages, making sure that the holes line up. Attach one end of the elastic band to the craft stick and then thread the band through the first hole (going from front to back).
Then bring it back up through the second hole and attach it to the other end of the craft stick.
Tada!
