How to Plan for 7 Long Weekends?
1) New Year’s Day 1 Jan 2023 (Sunday)
Long weekend 31st Dec 2022 to 2 Jan 2022
Since the holiday falls on Sunday, Monday will be a public holiday. You do not
need to take any extra days for long weekends.
2) Chinese New Year 22 Jan (Sunday) – 23 Jan (Monday)
Long weekend 21 Jan 2022 to 23 Jan 2022
This one is a bit of a lugi . While you have a long weekend to
celebrate CNY, you would lose a day as Sunday, and the following Monday are
official holidays.
3) Good Friday 7 Apr (Friday)
Long Weekend 7 Apr to 9 Apr
The Easter weekend is a traditional long weekend on our calendars.
4) Labour Day 1 May (Monday)
Long Weekend : 29 Apr to 1 May
This year Labour Day falls on a Monday, so you would have another long
holiday.
5) Vesak Day 2 June (Friday)
Long Weekend: 2 to 4 June
This was initially earmarked to be on 3 June. It was revised to 2 June, so you
have a long weekend!
6) Deepavali 12 Nov (Sunday)
Long Weekend 11 Nov to 13 Nov
Since Deepavali falls on 12 Nov, you will also have Monday as a holiday!
7) Christmas Day 25 Dec (Monday)
Long Weekend 23 Dec to 25 Dec
Long weekend for Christmas!
Time to start planning for that holiday!
